Paul D. Wuest
Storytelling through Music
Paul D. Wuest is a Central Valley based composer, orchestrator, mixer, and performer who has dedicated his life to the craft of telling stories through music. In practice, Paul uses his knowledge of various musical styles, ranging from classical to contemporary, to collaborate with creators and compose original scores that allow the fullest realization of their artistic vision.
Paul's discovered his love of music at a young age, thanks to Kindermusik classes and exposure to some of the great film scores. He spent ten years under the masterful tutelage of Wendi Kirbi, learning classical piano and the basics of music theory. He went on to earn a Bachelors in English and Music Composition (2016) from Westmont College, studying under Dr. Steve Butler, winner of multiple ASCAP concert music awards. Finally, Paul capped off his education at the Pacific Northwest Film Scoring Program, achieving a Masters of Music in Film Composition, learning the craft from two time Emmy winner Hummie Mann.
Paul's dream is to partner with likeminded storytellers and help them make their projects a reality. If you would like to contact Paul to discuss a future collaboration (or even just your favorite type of music), feel free to reach out on the contact page.
